Expert Guided Surf Tours in the South-West
Our guided tours
There are close to forty surf breaks along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste coastline between Yallingup and Augusta. On any given day, perhaps three or four of them are firing. Knowing which ones, why, and how to read them when you get there — that is not something a surf forecast app can tell you. It takes years in the water, in all conditions, across all seasons.
Simon Tien has been surfing this coastline for thirty years. He has surfed The Right, The Left, Gas Bay, North Point, Injidup, Redgate, Three Bears, and dozens of breaks in between. He has towed into the Cowaramup Bombie. He has paddled out at spots most visiting surfers will never find. And he has coached surfing on this stretch of coast since 2000.
A guided surf tour with MRSA is not a sightseeing trip. It is direct access to three decades of local ocean knowledge — matched to the conditions on the day, your ability level, and what you want to get out of your time in the water.
Who are guided tours for?
Guided surf tours are designed for intermediate to advanced surfers — people who can already surf but who want to surf the Margaret River region properly, not just find the most obvious beach and hope for the best.
You might be a travelling surfer visiting the South West for a few days who wants to make the most of every session. You might be an experienced surfer visiting from interstate or overseas who has heard about this coastline and wants to surf it with someone who can read it in real time. You might be a local intermediate surfer who is ready to start exploring breaks beyond your usual spot. Or you might be a group of friends who want a private guided day finding the best waves the region has to offer.
Whatever your situation, the goal is the same: get you into the best possible surf for your ability level, on the best break available on the day, and give you the coaching and local knowledge to get the most out of every wave.
